Abstract/Contents: | Field experiments in Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland were conducted to compare the length of control with metolachlor and alachlor. At use rates on sandy loam soils, metolachlor provided 8 weeks of commercial control compared to 2 to 4 weeks for lachlor. On a silt loam soil, metolachlor provided 8 to 10 weeks of commercial control compared to less than 4 weeks for alachlor. |
