| Abstract/Contents: | "A graduate student, Mr. Chris Cherney, has been assigned to this project. Measuring and collecting drainage from the Environmental Golf Green has been problematic. Installation of sampling and storage units has been delayed, and until the problems with water budgets and drainage sampling are worked out, we are focusing on the second objective of this project. Two experiments are being initiated in March. The first will determine nitrogen absorption by turf roots and by microorganisms using 15N as a tracer, and the second will survey nitrogen mineralization rates at various turf sites." |
