| Abstract/Contents: | "The fungal plant pathogen Microdochium nivale causes Microdochium patch and pink snow mould which are severe diseases of turfgrass in cool, wet climates1. Previously, isolates of M. nivale collected from the west coast of British Columbia, Canada, (BC) were found to have lower sensitivity to the dicarboximide fungicide iprodione relative to isolates from southern Ontario, Canada (ON)2. Based on anecdotal reports, some of these isolates were also suspected of having reduced sensitivity to DMI fungicides such as propiconazole. The purpose of this work was to test a larger set of M. nivale isolates for their sensitivity to propiconazole, and then select isolates for genome sequencing to examine the genetic basis for differences in sensitivity to this DMI fungicide." |
