Abstract/Contents: | "Grass-endophytes (Epichloë spp.) are defensive symbionts against fungal plant pathogens1,2,3,4 and numerous studies suggest Epichloë-infected turfgrass suppresses a range of fungal- pathogens5,6,7,8. The interest of this experiment was the potential for an endophyte- mediated suppression of Laetisaria fuciformis ([McAlpine] Burds.) (red thread turf pathogen)9,10. The specific objectives were to measures responses of an endophyte-infected turf-type Lolium perenne following inoculation of Laetisaria fuciformis." |
