| Abstract/Contents: | A problem must exist before switching to sand topdressing. One problem may be because of a thick clay layer. Another may be a low infiltration rate. After starting on a sand topdressing program many superintendents have noticed a reduction of disease. It may also result in a 1/4 to 1/3 fungicide reductiong in spending for the summer time. Topdressing has been proven to alleviate thatch. Discusses a program which includes: main reasons, quality, methods, time , results, savings and cautions. |
