| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the effects that sand topdressing has had on Tuckaway Country Club's golf greens in Franklin, Wisconsin since 1975. Water infiltration rates are faster, compaction is controlled, cutting heights are lower, nitrogen use is down, and a truer roll of the golf ball is present. Isolated dry spots have been eliminated with the use of Hydrowet, a wetting, at an 8 oz. per 1000 square feet, three times in the spring and once in the summer if needed. |
