| Abstract/Contents: | "Site analysis are a basic requirement for properly functioning site-conditioned, economic constructions of turf sports grounds. The evaluation of such analysis is based on the knowledge of the biological, physical and chemical relationships and correlations of the soil types serving subsoil or constructional basis respectively, as the living space of soil organisms and plant roots, the ideal technical soil development techniques and the cultivation of intensive turf grounds. Mistakes in the planning and construction stage should be avoided in order to establish turf sports grounds of a high-quality level. The requirements regarding the carrying capacity, the air and water household, the suitable compositions of the turf top layer and the nutrient supply should be met to ensure the establishment, at a cost as low as possible, of a vital wear- and tear-resistant sward by taking into account the structure of the site and building ground. To ensure this, preliminary investigations must generally be carried out during the planning stage and qualification and control measures must be taken by qualified experts during the stage of construction. They are the basis of technical recommendations for new constructions, the renovation and regeneration of turf sports grounds." |
