Abstract/Contents: | "Grass, leaves and brush from all over Sonoma County are composted at the county's Central Landfill, near Petaluma. The operation is a joint project between Empire Waste Management of Santa Rosa and Sonoma Compost Company, a private firm with offices at the site. Sonoma Compost is adding fertilizers and wood chips to create blends, and eventually has plans to market material in bags. Marketing is still in the development stages." |
