Abstract/Contents: | At the River North Country Club, the volunteer situation in 1990 was deteriorating, this caused the NIKE Macon Open to be less than successful. Then, in 1992, the tournament almost blew up in their faces. For 1993, NIKE was considering replacing River North. To rectify the problem, River North brought in a tournament chairman and as a result the 1993 NIKE Macon Open was an outstanding success. The superintendent gives some tips on preparing a course for a big event. |
