Abstract/Contents: | Reports on the research efforts of R. L. Brandenburg which were initiated in order to provide initial short-term answers to the mole cricket problem in North Carolina. "In addition to pesticide screening, studies on baits, adjuvants, buffers, amd more recently application equipment, have helped us do a little better job keeping the mole crickets at a reasonable level." Further studies have focused upon developing a greater understanding of mole cricket migration, egg laying, and development; Dr. Mike Villani, entomologist at Cornell University is a vital component with research projects concerning themselves with such understandings of the mole cricket. |
