Abstract/Contents: | Discusses proposed guidelines that, if passed, would make it mandatory for newly constructed golf courses and altered golf courses to comply with the proposed changes. These changes would make the previously mentioned golf courses more accessible to the disabled through the proposed changes. "These guidelines are not the final law but have been proposed to supplement the `Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibilities Guidelines...' The information was provided for public comment only. It is very important that comments be made both for and against the guidelines. If no positive comments are received it will be interpreted to mean that revisions can be made, good or bad." For a copy of the guidelines call the access board at 202-272-5434 (Peggy Greenwell, Sydni Ann Shollenberger). |
