Abstract/Contents: | "It is vital that New Zealand keeps abreast of international developments to ensure our athletes remain competitive at the international level. To help achieve this the Hillary Commission has established a Sport Science Programme to encourage and enable sports groups to invest in research and development (see the paper in these Proceedings by Gibbs, 1994). The Commission's objective is that the potential of New Zealand's sport science expertise will be realised, and that international expertise relevant to New Zealand conditions and athletes will be identified and utilised." |
