| Abstract/Contents: | "The overall objective is to improve the playability of the sports surface. At present performance tends to be judged on the proportion of desirable species in the turf. In collaboration with the New Zealand Turf Culture Institute, there is a need to define performance standards more in terms of user requirements. The work will focus on hardness on cricket pitches, traction on sportsfields, recoil on racetracks and surface friction on bowling greens." |
