Abstract/Contents:"This field study was initiated during May 2021, at the Plant Science Research and Education Facility in Storrs, CT. The study was conducted on a 'Ninety-six Two' creeping bentgrass fairway turf on a Paxton, fine sandy loam. The study was conducted as a split-plot design with four replicated blocks. Clipping management is the main plot and N rate and dew removal are both randomized as sub-plots within each main plot. Plots were mowed at 0.4 inches with a John Deere E-Clip walk mower afternoon once the dew had dissipated. The mowing bucket was attached to collect and remove clippings or removed to return clippings. Dew was removed each morning at 0800 hr with one pass of a PVC roller that was the exact width of the plot. Nitrogen treatments were applied as a split application of the total annual rate as Polyon 43-0-0 on 13 May and 12 July 2022."
