Abstract/Contents:"Thatch over accumulation is an issue in turfgrass management. Under optimal conditions, thatch is decomposed by soil organisms. Soil microbes are ubiquitous, the beneficial microbial population is affected by soil conditions/fertility, which in turn are affected by cultural practice. The objective of this experiment was to evaluate the efficacy of thatch biological control under different managerial regimes, including application of Gliocladium roseum (PR), Paecilomyces linacinus (BL), Bucillus subtilis (BS) under core aeration and different C:N ratios (adjusted by corn starch and N fertilizers)."
