Abstract/Contents: | "Many golf courses suffer from a legacy of woeful teeing grounds due to a combination of poor design, inadequate construction and misplacement. These problems are compounded by a lack of sufficient resources being chanelled into tees maintenance. Progressive increase in the volume of play has had a profound influence on our golf courses, and teeing grounds have the additional burden of concentrated divot damage as well as the usual pressures of foot traffic." Topics include: tee design, traffic, root zone material, and presentation. |
