| Abstract/Contents: | Dr. Roy Goss' trip to New Zealand was made to both the North and South Islands, in order to obtain soil samples, evaluate turfgrass quality, and record management programs. A brief overview of climate, turfgrasses used, soils and land use is given. Turfgrass management programs such as fertilization, weed control, disease control, thatch control, topdressing and mowing maintenance are also discussed. Comparisons are made between New Zealand and the Pacific Northwest USA. |
