| Abstract/Contents: | A six hole golf course was constructed alongside the 18 hole golf course of the Golf and Country Club Brandhof in Saalfelden, not only in record time, but at a minimal cost and in accordance to the most stringent environmental conservation methods. A close to the root zone mix (naturnahe Bauweise) was constructed, but the surface matter that was removed to built it was later deposited on other areas of the golf course. Over 200 trees were transplanted from locations that interfered with construction to locations that had greater function, saving costs as well. The composition of the root zone mixes, the compost deposited and the kinds of sod used are all listed. |
