Abstract/Contents:Discusses testing for low soil pH and phosphorus levels along with high concentrations of aluminum and the detrimental effect that each of these has on the growth of Poa annua. Suggests implementing these factors along with a selective herbicide like endothal to control Poa annua in bentgrass turf. Specific recommendations may come from further studies once adequate measurement techniques are developed for aluminum concentrations in the soil.
