| Abstract/Contents: | Compares three new root-absorbed growth regulators to older foliar-absorbed chemicals and the resulting phytotoxic, color enhancement, and seedhead production effects to various grass species at the Western Washington Research and Extension Center. Two new chemicals (EL500 and P333) caused no phytotoxicity. EL500 enhanced color on some plots while P333 showed minor discoloration. MBR18337 caused slight phytotoxicity but suppressed seedheads effectively. All three were effective growth regulators. Selective grass control with Embark, glyphosate, RO 13-8895, and triclopyr preliminary tests were started as well. |
