Abstract/Contents: | Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is the combined use of chemical, cultural, genetic and biological methods for effective economical control of pests with minimum interference of non-target organisms. IPM in turfgrass includes basic principles of; turfgrass selection, irrigation, fertilization, mowing and cultural practices and use of pesticides. The need to reduce chemical dependency for pest control and ecological safety, will require turfgrass managers to incorporate IPM methods into future management plans. |
