Abstract/Contents: | "Necrotic ring spot is probably the most damaging disease of Kentucky bluegrass in Ontario. Because it is a relatively new disease, our knowledge of it is still limited. To more clearly understand the situation in Ontario, Dr. Tom Hsiang began a survey in 1991 to confirm the pathogen causing necrotic spot was L. korrae and to determine how widespread it was. There were 56 responses to the survey and it confirmed that L. korrae was indeed the pathogen which caused necrotic ring spot in Ontario." Discusses what necrotic ring spot looks like, life cycle, disease management and research being conducted. |
