Abstract/Contents: | John Plummer, head groundsman at Milwall FC, discusses some of the problems he encountered with his soccer pitches during the winter months. Mr. Plummer explains some of the steps he took to try to keep the pitch in playing condition despite problems with the weather. After several problems with divots John Plummer along with Milwall's chief executive, Graham Hortop, and John Hewitt, the original contractor of the pitch, decided to use Fibersand on the affected area to try to solve the problems. Results on the effectiveness of Fibersand have not been obtained. |
