Abstract/Contents: | Perennials are discussed, giving attention to their advantages, including: low maintenance, cheaper than annuals in the long run, time-savers since entire beds and borders don't have to be replaced, different than standard, everyday bedding plants, and adaptable to almost any garden setting. A short, comprehensive list with a brief description of each kind of perennial is included in the sidebar "A profusion of perennials." Design factors to take into account include color, size, and form. |
