Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the subject of links golf. The term is defined by its historical meaning as well as by its use in today's golf game. Several prominent courses are reviewed for the characteristics that have given them the reputation of being links courses. However, the author insists that not one of these courses is a true links course and laments that the ultimate links course may not exist. Also discusses the necessity of adjusting one's technique to specific terrain. Provides examples of players who have been successful in adjusting their games to achieve great success in championship golf. |
