Abstract/Contents: | A virus disease has infected centipedegrass on commercial sod farms, home lawns, and production fields of the major U.S. centipedegrass seed producer. Subtopics include: Materials and methods, and Results and discussion. "The mosaic disease found on centipedegrass was named centipedegrass mosaic and the virus causing the disease was tentatively named centipedegrass mosaic virus.... [which should be] referred to as the centipedegrass strain of panicum mosaic virus." A table summarizes centipedegrass cultivar, breeding lines, and accession reactions to inoculation -- all tested designations were found to be susceptible. |
