Abstract/Contents:"Field plots of 'Raleigh' St. Augustinegrass were used to determine efficacy of chemical products for controlling Rhizoctonia blight. Applications of fungicide treatments at 14 or 28 day intervals were initiated on 19 September and the study continued over a 6 week period on intensively watered and fertilized field plots. Symptoms of Rhizoctonia blight were observed on S. Augustinegrass field plots 3 weeks after initiation of the study. Of 32 chemical treatments on St. Augustinegrass, the highest disease ratings were observed on not treated control plots, while no disease or limited outbreaks of disease were observed on plots treated with Prostar 50W, Prostar 70W, San61940DF, San 83250WG, San61940DF, and San83250WG. Other treatments in the field test performed at an intermediate level of disease control."
