USGA Summary Points:DNA sequencing technologies are readily available to study turfgrass genomes, but tools for analyzing the complex data are still needed. GeneCNN was developed for gene prediction in complex sequenced genomes. GeneCNN successfully predicted 3,015 coding sequences within a 10 million nucleotide buffalograss genome fragment GeneCNN performed as well as conventional gene prediction tools
