USGA Summary Points:Grubs were collected, counted, identified and weighed from turf plots and lightbox images were taken for visual assessment within 12 hours of collection. Turf plots were visually rated on a 1-9 scale, with 9 being the best, monthly from May to October. Individual genotypes for growth chamber experiments and endophyte testing have been cloned out, grown in the greenhouse and grub feeding experiments in the growth chamber are underway. Grubs were collected for growth chamber experiments. Endophyte results were tested for each cultivar, with only 2 cultivars testing endophyte positive based on microscopy methods.
