Abstract/Contents:"Field plots were established at two locatios in Wisconsin with a history of Typhula blight. Snow fell in early December at both locations and remained through the winter. The plots were not open until snow melt in April. Symptoms typical of Typhula blight, including sclerotia at various stages of maturity, were apparent at both sites. Microdochium nivale (causal agent of pink snow mold) was not apparent at either site. Disease pressure was higher at the northern location, where control plots averaged 57% infection. Most of the fungicide treatments gave good control (less than 10% of the plot area with symptoms). Control plots in the south averaged 16% infection and all fungicide treatments (except one experimental compound ) were significantly different than the untreated control. Several treatments resulted in 100% control."
