| Abstract/Contents: | "Fungicides were applied with a CO² pressurized (35 psi) sprayer equipped with a flat-fan (8010) nozzle, and calibrated to deliver 2.5 gal water per 1000 ft₂. The fungicides were not watered-in. Dates of application appear in the data table. Turf was a four year stand of Fylking Kentucky bluegrass maintained at a 1.75 in. mowing height, and received 3.0 lb N/1000ft₂/yr. All plots were inoculated at three points with a composite of five M. poae isolates on 1 June 1994. Soil was a Chillum silt loam with a pH of 6.6 and 2.2% OM. Plots were 5 x 5 ft, and were completely randomized with four replicates. Percent of plot area blighted was assessed visually on a 0 to 100% scale where 0 = no blight and 100 = entire plot area blighted. Given the small amount of disease pressure, blight ratings exceeding 0.9% would be considered unacceptable control. All treatments, except RH 0611, reduced summer patch significantly. Among ICIA 5504 treatments, 0.2 oz (applied 15 Jun + 29 Jun or 15 Jun + 6 Jul) and 0.4 oz (applied (15 Jun + 6 Jul or 15 Jun + 10 Jul) provided commercially acceptable control. Banner applied at 4.0 fl. oz., but not at 2.0 fl. oz, and Lynx (all rates) also provided acceptable control. Eagle, RH 0611, and ICIA 5504 (0.4 oz applied 15 and 29 Jun) provided an unacceptable level of summer patch control."
