Abstract/Contents:Seven thousand yards of golf course meander through vineyards at Copper River Country Club near Fresno, CA. The course demands a lot of an irrigation system, but is adequately equipped to handle it. The irrigation system at Copper River is capable of delivering 3,500 gallons per minute through 2,400 sprinkler heads. The water is provided by wells and a 20 foot deep irrigation lake, and is not used for potable water. Consequently, the irrigation system can carry fertilizer and special growth-enhancing bacteria, which are added by a microbial injection system in the pump house.
