Abstract/Contents: | "The toll taken by extended arctic conditions across much of the Northeast this past winter is just now being recognized by landscape contractors and turf specialists. A greater than normal percentage of perennial ryegrass failed to green up this spring. This loss of turf will increase broadleaf weed pressure over the coming months." Discusses winterkill, broadleaf weed control, timing of pre- and postemergence herbicide applications, and overseeding. |
