Abstract/Contents: | "Approximately 50 turfgrass managers attended a half-day seminar on the perennial peanut, a forage crop unique to Florida, at the Polk County Extension Center in Bartow Aug. 18. The plant has potential as a lawn cover and alternative to turfgrass, according to two UF agronomists working with the plant." Discusses the perennial peanut's disease and insect resistance, low fertilization requirements, and low maintenance capabilities. |
