| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses why weeds invade turf areas and how a turf recovery program should begin with extra water and fertilization. The experimental results of trials with the herbicide Asulam on turfgrasses are summarized. Tolerance occurred on all St. Augustinegrass varieties and on 'Emerald' zoysiagrass and 'Tifway' bermudagrass while controlling monocot weed species. The herbicidal control of weeds is the final step in a turf recovery program. |
