Abstract/Contents: | "Installing water plants and letting some natural plants grow along the pond edges improves the environment by intercepting run-off and using up nutrients that otherwise would get into the water. It also provides habitat for wildlife, and it makes the golf course look better." Discusses the function and benefits of aquascaping, the methods of selecting and installing plants at the Dataw Island Club golf course, the successes with aquascaping at other golf courses, and the technologies being used in establishing and maintaining aquatic plants with concerns of environmental protection. |
