Abstract/Contents:Details the redesign and construction of the Board of Trade Course, one of the last remaining old-style Howard Watson golf courses in the Toronto area. The project was redesigned by Arthur Hills, a highly-regarded American architect who designed more than 100 courses during his 30-year career. Hills visited the Board of Trade at regular intervals to make sure that the spirit of his design was carried out. Also discusses Hills' innovative ideas of redesign, which provided the basis for creating a quality product that incorporates ease of maintenance.
