Abstract/Contents:Contents include: An introduction to the used of biological construction methods to stabilize and improve soil damaged either through natural or man made causes by the planting of grasses, plants or herbs adapted to the given climate that can effectively bind the soil, protect it from further erosion and even better its appearance. Checklists outlining criteria to be considered before using such techniques, including some current limitations of the method are given, although the author stresses that with proper planning nearly any surface can be improved with this method when mechanical means will fail.
