Abstract/Contents: | "It is vital to the survival of landscape plant material to keep low-volume irrigation stations free-flowing. Without proper system design, tiny drip, micro-spray and other low-flow emitters can gradually become plugged. As flow is restricted, the water delivered by the emitters fails to meet the requirement of plants." Discusses filters, the most critical component to effective low-volume irrigation, the key factors affecting the level of filtration, the importance of emmiters, precautions to take when selecting emmitters, and installation and maintenance of emmitters to add to the system's longevity. |
