Abstract/Contents: | "The city of Seattle has adopted an ambitious water conservation program. Through a combination of conservation price structures, well-enforced standards for plumbing fixture efficiency, and innovative conservation programs, Seattle officials estimate that water consumption will drop at least 15 percent by 2002-saving up to 32 million gallons a day." Discusses five strategies to gain conservation savings, the water-efficiency landscape code, which will be applicable to new and renovated commercial projects, and issues and implications involved in the code. |
