Abstract/Contents:A continuation from Rasen 1/83, it is concluded that player wear compacts the soil layer of traditionally constructed sports grounds to a degree that pore volume is severely decreased, affecting water permeability and effecting a damaging of the grasses' growth. To offset this development, it is suggested that either grounds constructed in this manner be built with soil substances that are not as succeptible to compaction, or to ammend the soil with increments of sand.
