| Abstract/Contents: | Reports the meeting of the ASTA Wildflower Group with Chuck Dale of the Minnesota Department of Agriculture, a Minnesota Highway Department official and a MInnesota wildflower producer, at which the definition of the term "wildflower" was discussed. "The Wildflower Group did agree to a truth-in-labelling proposal that is similar to labelling rules on grass seed. Packages of wildflowers for home gardeners, species which are native to North America would be identified as 'North American Natives.' The discussions were helpful to broaden everyone's understanding of wildflower seed production in Minnesota, the state's environmental policy and D.O.T native seed and plant specifications." |
