Abstract/Contents:"Yellow Nutsedge is a common weed that infests many crop and turfgrass areas. Its control is difficult as it can be mistaken for a grass, is prolific in tuber generation, and infestation can lie dormant for several years. Post emergent long term strategies are the only effective means of controlling this infestation, and multiple applications are necessary. Methane arsenate and bentazon type herbicides are recommended; however, overuse of these products may have an undesirable effect on turfgrasses. Methods of liminting grass damage while controlling infestation are considered."
