| Abstract/Contents: | "The objective of these trials is to evaluate different buffalograss selections for their performance as a turf or lawn in Missouri, with primary interest in overall turf quality. Visual percent cover, density, and quality ratings were taken monthly starting in May 1992. In general, all the buffalograss cultivars provided acceptable quality turf or better. The visual ratings reflect the improvement turfgrass breeders have made in turftype buffalograss cultivars when compared to Sharps and Texoka. Cultivars that performed well at both centers are AZ 143, NE84-315, NE84-436 and NE85-375." |
