Abstract/Contents: | Relates difficulties in maintaining a southern golf course. Because of temperature extremes, putting greens are hard to preserve. The problem lies in maintaining a proper balance between the base of dormant Bermuda grass roots and the surface of active redtop. Options are given to aid in the problem of securing a satisfactory grass base over winter and dealing with an attack by mole crickets. |
