| Abstract/Contents: | "This evaluation was conducted at the Landscape Management Research Center, University Park, PA, on Kentucky bluegrass maintained under home lawn/golf course fairway management conditions. Urea (46-0-0) was applied at 1.0 lb nitrogen per 1000 sq ft on 12 and 26 Apr. Individual plots, 3 ft x 14 ft, were arranged in a randomized complete block design with three replications. Fungicides were applied with a CO²-powered boom sprayer, using TeeJet 8004 nozzles, at 35 psi, in water equivalent to 2 gal per 1000 sq ft. Applications were made on 18 Apr and 2, 17, and 31 May, except as noted in the table. Treatments were visually evaluated on 16 and 30 May and 13 Jun. Data obtained were subjected to analysis of variance and Duncan's Multiple Range test. Data from 13 Jun, representative of those obtained at all three evaluations, are presented [in table form]. Disease pressure was constant and uniform during the test period. More than half of the fungicides tested provided good leaf spot suppression in this trial." |
