| Abstract/Contents: | Dave Copeland left his job as golf course superintendent at Monoosnock Country Club to travel to Lisbon, Portugal to help in the planning and development of the Gold Eagle Golf and Country Club. After he had completed the Lisbon project he returned to the states and got the job of superintendent/ construction chief of the Wedgewood Country Club in Stow, Mass. Copeland first displayed interest in turf management in high school when he played on the school's golf team. He later went on to a two-year turf management program at Stockbridge and had two internships: one at Broadmoor Country Club (Colorado Springs) and at the Highland Club (Billings). Copeland held two jobs as an assistant foreman and then went on to his position at Monoosnock. He also has experience in landscape construction. Copeland says that he has "always been fascinated by the art of putting a golf course together." |
