Abstract/Contents:Discusses the possible negative effects of high seeding rate on establishment and health of creeping bentgrass. Summarizes past research on bentgrass seeding rates, and discusses the interaction between seeding rate and growth habit. Summarizes recent research on bentgrass cultivars other than Penncross. Effects of high seeding rate on population dynamics, plant vigor and disease susceptibility are also discussed.
