Abstract/Contents: | Proper construction of a golf green was a problem due to the inadequate amount of rainfall for maintaning grass putting greens and heavy rainfall washed away sand and oil. Using coarser sand and heavy residuum from oil refineries or cleanings from old fuel-oil supply tanks as opposed to light fuel oils, helped solve the problem. |
