Abstract/Contents:Offers advice in protecting valuable trees and surrounding property during summer thunderstorms, with high winds and lightning. Tree practices that help strengthen trees in order to withstand summer's severe weather include pruning, cabling and bracing, and lightning protection systems. Brief descriptions of these processes are given.
